Naturecan was founded in May 2019 by serial entrepreneur Andy Duckworth (Former CEO of Myprotein) and Paul Finnegan. The strategy is to grow the company quickly and dominate the CBD industry. They now have websites selling to 20 countries around the world including Japan.
What immediately appears to set Naturecan apart from other brands is that they have a vast range of products ranging from massage oil to brownies and beyond. They also are very proud of where their CBD originates from which is always a positive sign that they care about the product.
Product Offering
We have had the privilege of sampling nearly every product in Naturecan’s VAST range. We were really impressed by all of them and were especially blown away by the presence of CBD products which we have not seen elsewhere in the industry.
Oils & Tinctures
Naturecan has five strengths of broad-spectrum CBD oil. They are all suspended in pure organic MCT oil and contain zero THC. The oils are available in either 10ml or 30ml bottles.
Strengths range from 2.5% to 40% CBD. Check out this useful dosage chart put together by the team at Naturecan:

Capsules & Tablets
There is a large range of capsules available on the Naturecan website. There are 10mg Softgels which contain gelatin but don’t worry animal lovers, there are also Vegan capsules on offer which also contain 10mg CBD as well as Curcumin and Vitamin D3. Other variants are on offer that contain Vitamin C or Astaxanthin (an antioxidant found in Pacific Salmon that has been linked to healthier skin, heart, joints and even cancer treatment)
Topicals & Skincare
You can find some real gems in this section. CBD Lavender Massage Oil has got to be one of our favourites. You will also be shocked at the large selection of muscle balms ranging from lemon and ginger to Arnica Cream with Witch Hazel. They have lip balms too and we haven’t even started on the Beauty section yet! Naturecan provides Hydrolysed Collagen, Hand Creams, Moisturizers and even a Purify CBD Clay Mask. All boxes are ticked. The ingredients are natural, vegan and delightful in every way.
Edibles & Gummies
Here’s where things get interesting. Naturecan has the widest array of edible CBD products of all brands we have so far come across. Think Vegan Gummies, Cookies, Brownies, and Peanut butter (in 3 flavours) as well as fitness options such as CBD Whey Protein and Protein Balls.
E-Liquids
Naturecan even does E-Liquids. They haven’t shied away from any product type here. Flavours include Menthol, Citrus Fruits and Strawberry. They are available in 250, 500 or 1,000mg of CBD in a 10ml bottle which means they are 2.5, 5 or 10% strength. The E-Liquids are your standard PG/VG blend mixed with natural flavourings and Broad-Spectrum CBD. They are suitable for vegans.
Overall Impressions
Pricing
We think that the vast majority of Naturecan’s products are priced fairly. There are some bundles that are available such as the CBD Essentials Box which contains everything you might need from the beauty section in a really beautifully presented box and a free face towel. Check out the Bundles Section on their site for way more bundles which may save you some money (Vegan Bundle, Nighttime Bundle, Birthday Bundle etc…).
Our one complaint with regards to pricing is that the 10% CBD Oil is priced at £54.99 which we find to be rather high considering the other products on the market. 5.5 pence per mg is higher than what we believe it should be.
Student Discount: If you are a student (or know a student!), you can sign up to Student Beans for a whopping 25% off your order.
Delivery
As of October 2020, Naturecan is offering free delivery on orders over £50. We think this is a fair deal as most customers would be spending around that mark anyway. If your order is less than £50, expect to pay £2.99 for standard delivery and £3.99 for EU delivery.
Returns
There is a “no-quibble” returns service for unwanted and unopened items. This is a 14-day guarantee. All damaged items reported within 5 days of receipt can be returned for a full refund or replacement. If you need to return an item that is not damaged, you are responsible for the cost of returning the item.
Covid-19 Statement
“Due to the worldwide epidemic, we are taking a number of measures to ensure the health and wellbeing of all our staff. Some orders may experience a delay during this time. If you have any questions, please feel free to email us and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding. [email protected]”
Naturecan’s CBD
Naturecan’s hemp is grown in the USA and supplied by a US company called IAH Oregon which specialises in chromatographic separation and refinement of botanical compounds. IAH’s hemp extracts contain Zero THC.
The company claims that the THC content of their hemp is 1 part per million (0.0001%). The product is refined from hemp extracts using two processes. The first is THC removal and the second is distillation.
IAH claims that by only refining the hemp extract as far as the distillation process, the products benefit from the presence of other phytonutrients and minor cannabinoids that would otherwise be lost.
According to Naturecan, its oil contains between 87-92% CBD and a minimum of 5% of additional minor cannabinoids such as CBG, CBC, CBDA etc…
CBD Scanner Analysis
We think that Naturecan has found what seems to be a reliable source of CBD that has been extracted with care.
It is clear that IAH Oregon is going above and beyond to supply a well-refined distillate which still contains the important phytonutrients that would not be present in a CBD Isolate. This means that the CBD and other minor cannabinoids that are left in the plant extract may work synergistically to provide greater results.
What Do Naturecan’s Test Results Show?
Naturecan takes testing seriously. This is important.
The cannabis industry is becoming more regulated as the authorities try to clamp down on false claims and illegal levels of THC. Some studies showed that CBD products sold in 2019 contained far less CBD in them than advertised. This is why Naturecan’s 7-point testing process is a step ahead of the rest.
- First Test: The hemp plants are tested for CBD content, low THC and pesticides by an Inspector from Oregon’s Agricultural Department.
- Second Test: Before purchasing, IAH Oregon tests the Hemp biomass for CBD potency and pesticides using a 3rd party testing laboratory.
- Third Test: Once the THC removal process is complete, the unrefined oil is tested again to ensure that the process was successful.
- Fourth test: After the distillation process, an independent test is conducted to double-check the removal of all THC.
- Fifth test: Now the product is supplied to Naturecan. Naturecan independently tests for pesticides, heavy metals, cannabinoid content and microbiological contaminants.
- Sixth test: The finished products are tested by Naturecan in the USA.
- Seventh test: Naturecan tests each batch of finished products for label efficacy and potency of all cannabinoids including CBD and THC in the UK.
Naturecan has released this handy video to talk you through their testing methods.
Naturecan makes its Certificates of Analysis (CoA) available to all its customers, and anyone wanting to find out more about the contents of its products.
There is a selection of CoAs to choose from however the most recent CoA is dated 23rd December 2019. Naturecan does not appear to offer CoA’s by batch for each product which is a shame. We hope that this changes in the future.
The good news is that we trust that they take great care in ensuring that their products are up to a high standard of compliance.
Naturecan’s Sustainability Programme
Naturecan has partnered up with CarbonClick to try and help reduce the carbon footprint of its products. We’re really happy to see that they are taking this into consideration. CarbonClick provides the option for the consumer to pay an extra fee of £2.00 or more to offset the carbon of the purchase.
This money will go towards worthy projects including forest regeneration and renewable energy. It would be a great touch if every £2 donated by customers was matched by Naturecan!
Naturecan also claims to be donating £500/month to WLT which is an international conservation charity. This is extremely noble and highly praised. They also claim to be in the process of moving all of its packaging to recyclable and sustainable options using hemp itself.
On Naturecan’s website it’s really great to see that they have clearly laid out objectives for improving their carbon footprint and reducing their impact.
What’s The Verdict?
We have a huge amount of positive things to say about our interactions with Naturecan.
The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and extremely willing to help with a product range that is vast and exciting.
Naturecan’s CBD is carefully sourced and heavily tested, building our confidence in the quality of the company’s products.
We love the sustainability focus and are looking forward to seeing it taken to the next level as the company grows (including hemp-derived, sustainable packaging).
For such a young company to already be selling CBD in over 20 countries, we’re excited to see what the future holds for Naturecan.
Naturecan certainly has our seal of approval.
