The Body Shop CBD Replenishing Moisture Cream

This cream launched in September 2020 by The Body Shop contains a whole host of ingredients that are designed to instantly soothe dry areas of skin. As with other moisturisers found at the Body Shop, this cream can help stressed skin (dehydrated, dry, loss in luminosity) to feel restored and healed. The cream also contains Sodium Hyaluronate, Squalene and Olive Fruit Oil all of which are great for the skin.

A note on the CBD in this Product

The Body Shop is fairly vague about the CBD that is in the product. In fact, the only available information is that the product is “œenriched with a blend of naturally derived CBD and Hemp Seed Oil“.

We checked the ingredients and we can see that Hemp Seed Oil (which does not contain CBD but does have other health benefits) came up as the 9^th ingredient with cannabidiol coming up 22^nd in the list of ingredients. This doesn’t help us ascertain the concentration but what we do know is that there is more Parfum/Fragrance in the cream than there is cannabidiol.

Unfortunately, we simply don’t know about the source of their cannabis extracts so cannot provide any more information at present. What we were happy to see, however, is that the terpenes Limonene and Linalool which are commonly found in cannabis strains were present in the list of ingredients.

Our Verdict

If you are looking for a high concentration CBD Cream which offers full traceability of its cannabis extraction, this is not the cream for you. Try Love CBD’s Balm or EQL’s CBD Body Balm.

If, however, you are looking for an excellent moisturising cream from an established, award-winning and world-famous brand where your primary focus is not on the CBD content and potential benefits it may bring, this cream may be for you.
