The CBD balm does not buck the trend. A luxurious cosmetic that really does smell amazing; the hempy aromas coming through as soon as you open the lid, let alone when you begin massaging the product into your muscles.

And that’s really what we would recommend this balm for. Unlike other softer creams, you do need to work Cannacares’ balm into your skin. The consistency of the cream really invites you to do this, so we would recommend using this cream to soothe aching muscles rather than applying to sensitive skin.

150mg of CBD isn’t the only talking point in terms of ingredients with this product either, other ingredients include:

• Coconut oil (the carrier oil of choice for CBD products),
• Cannabis sativa seed oil,
• Cannabis sativa flower oil,
• Citrus lemon peel oil,
• Terpenes limonene and linalool.

The inclusion of cannabis seed and flower oil is most likely responsible for the hemp smell oozing from the balm, which is certainly a bonus in our eyes. However, if you don’t like the smell of hemp, maybe another balm would be more suited to you.

Overall, this CBD balm from Cannacares has a lovely feel to it, and is ideal for rubbing into sore muscles. However, if you’re looking for a cream to help with sensitive skin, you’ll be better off with a creamier topical product.
