An Introduction To CBDistillery
CBDistillery is a Colorado-based brand spearheading the #CBDMOVEMENT with products and services ranging all things CBD: from hemp-derived tinctures, isolates, supplements, merchandise and even pet products, to widespread educational platforms and industry research projects.
Set up in 2016 by a group of Cannabidiol-devoted Colorado natives, CBDistillery continues seeking to make quality CBD widely accessible and affordable through its selection of “gimmick-free” products.
Alongside these, CBDistillery has aimed to pioneer widespread education on the many benefits of CBD: through online guides and the #CBDMOVEMENT social media campaigns, CBDistillery strive to realign the cannabinoid’s public image with current scientific findings and worldwide anecdotal support.
Celebrated for its efforted transparency and professionalism, CBDistillery is a member of the National Hemp Association (NHA), the US Hemp Roundtable and offers lab test results through third-party ProVerde Laboratories for all its products. CBDistillery products are also US Hemp Authority Certified.
Product Offerings
CBDistillery offers products with hemp-sourced CBD derived from two distinct processes: the CO2 extraction method, which produces full and broad-spectrum CBD; and the isolate process, which eliminates all trace of plant-based materials except for CBD. While many CBD users prefer the full-spectrum version, CBD isolate is an attractive variant for those who prefer a guaranteed THC-free product.
Products include:

Full spectrum (less than 0.3% THC) and THC-free CBD oil tinctures ranging 150mg to 5000mg suspended in fractionated coconut (MCT) oil.
CBD Gummies

Overall Impressions
Look and Feel
CBDistillery generally carries a highly trusted reputation among its widespread customer base and reviewers.
With a uniquely large and varied range of concoctions catering to all manner of novice and versed CBD heads, along with its strong presence both online and in stores, it’s not difficult to see why.
Flavour
CBDistillery’s flavours of gummies, vapes and e-liquids have been largely praised online. The company’s signature ‘Grand Daddy Purp’ has had particular acclaim
Their CBD tinctures are a mix of CBD rich hemp extract suspended in fractionated coconut oil (MCT oil), whose natural flavours in combination are enjoyed depending on matter of taste.
While many do love the earthy edge of the plant, those who don’t like the taste of hemp may not enjoy a lot of products across the range – such as the oils, which are reported to have a potent flavour.
Pricing
CBDistillery™ claims to be one of the most “cost-effective brands in the CBD marketplace today”.
With regard to quality, CBD Scanner’s research appears to support this claim. Whilst not the cheapest brand on the market, it is however great value, coming mostly at a fraction of the cost of similarly concentrated products by other companies.
Sales and discounts offered can be somewhat generous, and are available regularly throughout the year, especially during typical seasonal sale periods.
A Note on Disposable Vape Pens
Disposable vape pens and cartridges are non-recyclable and, unless disposed of incredibly consciously, are not particularly eco-friendly by any stretch.
This is, however, a wider issue that all vape pen and cartridge manufacturers have yet to remedy.
Consumers concerned for environmental issues may prefer to purchase rechargeable options, or invest towards tinctures, supplements and topicals instead (and recycle the packaging).
CBDistillery’s CBD
The company’s efforts to provide educational information on CBD, and transparency regarding third-party studies, likewise seems worthy of praise.
CBDistillery also appears to have the approval of the National Hemp Association (NHA) and ISO 9001:2015 Certification, and so emerges as a pretty legitimately endorsed brand
But although widely esteemed, CBDistillery’s overall standing is not without valid criticism, as we will show
Claims:
- Natural Farming practices: pesticide free, organically grown
- 100% Non-GMO Hemp oil
- Third party lab tested potency & purity
- US Hemp Authority Certified
- Made in the USA
What Do The Test Results Show?
Customer reports and third-party testing mostly holds up CBDistillery’s claim to premium quality products. Positive reports on purity and effectiveness of products across the range in relation to pain relief and sleep-related issues have been pretty unanimous.
The company is, however, not without some complaints about quality. Mentions of the flimsiness of its pipettes and bad packaging, making product prone to spillage and waste, and reports of cracked and malfunctioning parts, are not uncommon.
CBDistillery’s softgel capsules contain gelatin, and are therefore NOT VEGAN/VEGETARIAN FRIENDLY. Vegan/vegetarian consumers can, however, purchase the pill capsules alternative instead.
What’s The Verdict?
CBDistillery appears to provide quality products, and is relatively trusted and supported as a cost-effective potent CBD resource with beneficial results
However, the company is not without faults.
Widely mixed reviews on overall customer service and packaging issues shows their large inconsistencies in these domains.
However, this should prove no issue when purchasing from our partners in the UK so don’t worry too much about this.
- Wide variety of options for those both new and familiar with CBD usage
- Good value for reportedly great quality formulas
- Transparent about ingredients and third-party lab testing
- Many products with 0% THC for those who prefer this option
- Possible issues with the quality of devices & parts
- Contact information, such as mailing address and phone number, is difficult to find.

Other consideration points:
- Softgels contain gelatin and are therefore not vegetarian/vegan friendly
- Products such as disposable vape pens and cartridges are non-biodegradable and non-recyclable
