Description
Cibdol’s CBD Oil 2.0 oil is a popular hemp seed oil-based product from the popular Swiss CBD brand from Basel in the heart of Europe. Cibdol’s CBD Hemp Seed Oil constitutes a range of products with CBD concentrations of 5% to 40%.
How Does it Look and Feel?
The look and feel of Cibdol’s entire product range is one that suggests medical-grade quality, with professional-looking packaging and labeling on every bottle. However, while all that stuff may reassure you to some degree, it’s what’s in the bottle that actually counts. First up, let’s clear up any confusion you may have regarding the differences between CBD and Hemp Seed Oil.
So What’s The Difference Between Hemp Seed Oil and CBD Oil?
Before we dive in, rest assured that Cibdol’s CBD Hemp Oil does have CBD in it – the weight displayed on each bottle is related to the amount of CBD in the bottle and nothing else.
The hemp seed oil is derived from hemp seeds and hemp extract and is used as a carrier for CBD, which improves the bioavailability of CBD. In other words, the hemp seed oil helps our body absorb CBD more effectively, as well as having nutritional properties of its own.
In fact, the nutritional benefits of hemp seed oil are the real USP of this product, as there are probably better alternative oils to use as a carrier of CBD, specifically coconut oil rich in medium-chain triglycerides (MCT).
Hemp Seed Oil Benefits
There have been many reported benefits of incorporating hemp seed oil into your diet, especially because it is packed full of essential fatty acids. These benefits include:
- Hemp seed oil is incredibly nutritious, containing “considerable amounts of dietary fibre, vitamins and minerals.“
- It is good for your fatty acid metabolism, due to it containing the right ratios of omega-6 and omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids, unlike most oils.
- Hemp seeds may reduce your risk of heart disease, the most common cause of death worldwide.
But What About Cibdol’s Hemp Seed Oil?
Right, let’s get back to it.
Cibdol has produced a product befitting the rest of their product range, tying into their penchant for using alternative kinds of carrier oils from most other brands.
While the health benefits of hemp seed oil are well-documented, the jury is still out on the effectiveness of hemp seed oil vs the more widely popular coconut oil. However, there remains a very limited body of evidence regarding the bioavailability of CBD when paired with different carriers. But let’s put the carrier oils to one side for a moment and focus on the CBD element of this oil.
Is the CBD Hemp Seed Oil Full-Spectrum or Not?
As discussed on our CBD Oil Guide, the terms full-spectrum, broad-spectrum, and isolate are not always used consistently by every brand across the CBD industry. In this case, Cibdol claim to have both a full-spectrum oil and one which is free of THC (or at least, below traceable levels). However, full-spectrum CBD is said to have all the cannabinoids in the plant present, including THC, otherwise, it is as a broad-spectrum oil or an isolate.
It remains unclear as to whether this means that consumers will experience CBD’s increased effectiveness from the entourage effect. What we do know is that there are added terpenes, so that’s definitely a good sign. Terpenes are widely thought to contribute to the therapeutic benefits of CBD Oils so we are glad they are present. It would have been even better if Cibdol had let us know which terpenes are added!
Are Cibdol’s CBD Hemp Seed Oils tested for quality, safety, and CBD content by a third-party lab?
Great news! These products are independently tested to the highest of standards and all batch results can be found by visiting the Cibdol website.
