The Purple Edition CBD Oil from CBD Brothers has us all really excited because its rare that CBD manufacturers shed light on what strain of hemp is grown to extract their CBD Oils. Often, that is because the information is not important because the CBD is isolated upon extraction.

Purple has an Indica-heavy hybrid extract designed to deliver relaxing effects. Purple uses Cannabis Hybrid Whole Plant Extract > 16.4% CBD, extracted from female cannabis plants that are Indica dominant (70% India, 30% Sativa), that are grown outdoors in Holland.

As with the Blue edition, only buds and flowers are used to ensure high-quality extracts, which are diluted in Organic Hemp Seed Oil. There are approximately 190-200 drops in each 10ml bottle, meaning there’s a nominal CBD/CBDA content of 1.6mg of cannabidiol per drop.

As this full-spectrum CBD oil comes from the “œwhole-plant extract“, this means that the other cannabinoids, lipids, flavonoids and terpenes are extracted as well as just the CBD. This is thought to lead to a greater effect for the consumer through a phenomenon known as “œthe Entourage Effect“.

What are our thoughts?

Each batch of purple edition oil is tested for cannabinoid content by a 3rd party laboratory. The Certificates of Analysis can all be found on the manufacturer’s website.

Please note that according to The Original Alternative, the current batch of Purple Edition oil is slightly thicker than usual. This does not affect the quality of the oil whatsoever but may result in you needing to heat the bottle for a few minutes in a cup of hot water in order to administer with ease.
