Who Are They?

Dragonfly is a well-established brand that provides its customers with gluten-free, non-GMO, THC free and organically grown CBD Oils.

They are an “award-winning“ CBD brand that has made its way into Boots as well as Holland and Barrett… this is quite rare for a CBD product so they must be doing something right! If all of that can’t convince you, it has a commendable rating of 4.5 out of 5 on Trustpilot.

Look and Feel

The packaging is minimal with strong, easily recognisable branding.  The bold red lettering which states the CBD content catches your attention and stands out as it is clear and concise in what you are getting.

Delivery Mechanism 

As with the vast majority of tinctures, the oil is administered via a pipette, this goes straight under your tongue. Little to no product is wasted via this process as you simply leave it under your tongue for two minutes before swallowing!

Carrier Oil

The carrier oil is organic hemp seed oil with Cannabis Sativa L extract. Hemp seed oil is a good choice for carrier oil although some reports have stated that the shelf life for hemp seed oil is less favourable than others.

Taste 

The narrow-spectrum oil has subtle to no taste which makes it an excellent choice for newcomers to the wonders of CBD.

Extraction 

The extraction process used is the ethanol process. This process has been deemed as much safer than the other two extraction methods- not for the product itself but for their employees. The CBD itself is grown in the Balkan mountains and undergoes a nine-month process in assembling the final product.

CBD

The oil is available to purchase in either 10 or 30ml with 300, 500 or 1000mg of CBD. This simply translates to 3.3%, 5.6% and 11.1% of CBD per 10ml. Dragonfly offers Narrow Spectrum as well as Broad Spectrum CBD. We believe that Narrow Spectrum probably contains CBD Isolate, however, we were not easily able to work it out from their website…

Testing 

Dragonfly is extremely thorough in its testing methods, providing customers with heaps of information on the two ways that they test their products. The two methods are HPLC and Microbiology:

• HPLC separates a mixture of compounds and purifies the individual pieces of the mixture.
• Microbiology, on the other hand, studies all the organisms that are not visible to the naked human eye. Simply put, these two rather technical testing methods enhance customer satisfaction and trust in the brand.
