Canabidol is brought to us from the same company that manufactures Access CBD (the amazingly good value tincture), British Cannabis. The whole marketing strategy behind Canabidol is to make it seem like a pharmaceutical product, which it isn’t (officially speaking). That’s not to say the product is not top-grade and of a pharma-quality.

About the Brand
British Cannabis was born in 2015 with one objective: British-made CBD for the UK market. Their story over the next half-decade saw them grow into one of the largest CBD companies in the UK scene. They now supply a lot of brands with their extracts (you would be surprised).
They launched the Access CBD range this year. This range is paving the way for the new wave of low-cost tinctures. We reckon you should check them out.
Is it a Medicine?
Canabidol® range was launched in 2016 and is marketed to look like a medicine. As many of you are aware, CBD is prescribed on the NHS to treat certain conditions (such as Dravet Syndrome, a rare, drug-resistant form of epilepsy). Most CBD companies, however, went down the route of marketing their products to the wellness and alternative medicine sector. This is because the Food Standards Agency has classed these products as Novel Foods rather than a medicine. To sell CBD as a pharmaceutical-grade medicine costs a lot of money and takes a lot of time. The number of companies that do this in the UK can be counted on one hand.
Canabidol® seems to be in the middle. It has the appearance of a pharmaceutical-grade prescription product. They have even named the range “The Pharmacy Range”. This is, however, just clever branding. They are classed as a Novel Food like almost every other CBD company in the UK. That’s not to say they aren’t manufacturing their products to the high compliance standards of the pharmaceutical industry, though.
Canabidol® CBD Oil Drops
This range of oil drops is available in 3 strengths: 250mg, 50omg or 1000mg. The CBD is suspended in MCT Oil and can be purchased in the regular or RAW form. Raw is less refined. It will look darker and taste stronger. Some people believe that their Raw Oil contains more healthy nutrients which are filtered out from the more refined, standard oil drops. Canabidol’s CBD oil is rich in terpenes which is always a good sign. We think their packaging and branding looks professional and mature.
