Who is Love CBD?

Love CBD is a family-run business that began to sell its products in 2014. Six years later, the brand has been recognised as one of the most accomplished UK based CBD brands. Their range of products are sourced from The Netherlands and aim to provide you with Holland’s exceptional calibre of cannabis but at reasonable prices. Love CBD is considered by many to be a brand that you can trust, as has been proven by their rating of 4.8 out of 5 on Trustpilot.

Look and Feel

We find Love CBD’s branding and packaging look quite dated and a little bit like a 10-year-old designed it… but in a good way! We are huge fans, it seems like it was genuinely produced with a Love of CBD and we like how they are not trying to pretend they are something they are not.

Delivery Mechanism

The brand started off using the commonly found pipette however have now switched to a spray as they claim it is easier to accurately dose with a spray. As it is a spray, there is very little wastage as the contents of the product itself is never in an open container, however, we find that the spray sometimes bounces out of our mouths causing a bit of a mess… Perhaps we just need to practice a little more.

Carrier oil

The brand takes pride in the simplicity of its product; the only two ingredients are the cannabis extract and olive oil. Monounsaturated fats are the most poignant fat molecules in olive oil. In short, these fats enhance your health. More importantly, beneficial for your heart when consumed in moderation. Most CBD Brands use Coconut Oil in their CBD products as the Medium Chain Triglycerides are supposedly much more efficient at helping your body absorb the cannabidiol, however, Love CBD have chosen Olive oil. This choice is often taken as olive oil has a longer shelf life and is more accessible (fewer people are allergic or intolerant).

Taste

As the spray does not contain any flavourings or additional ingredients, the taste is an acquired one. If your taste preference is that of a nutty after-taste, this oil will do the job! CBD Content

This product comes in 150, 300 or 500mg of CBD and CBDa, the oil is not the strongest on the market, in fact, it is one of the weaker CBD Sprays but is great value for money and would make an excellent introduction to the world of CBD. If you would like to dabble with CBD, this is a good starting product considering the price and potency. What’s more, it is a Full Spectrum Extract meaning you aren’t just getting CBD, you are getting other cannabinoids such as CBN and CBG which all contribute synergistically to the positive effects of CBD.

Extraction

Love CBD uses the CO2 extraction method. This is considered the safest method as no solvents are involved in the process. The CBD itself is grown in the Netherlands on farms that do not use pesticides or any damaging chemicals.

Testing

As we would expect from a company as reputable as Love CBD, the Dutch Oil Spray comes with 3rd party Analysis for CBD Content, quality and legal levels of THC (the illegal part of cannabis which causes intoxication). The Certificates of Analysis can be found here.

Overall feeling

With CBD, it’s important to begin with a small dose and increase slowly until you get the desired effect. Starting with a 300mg spray with an RRP of  £18.99, the product is great value for money! We think this would make an excellent choice for someone who was looking to buy CBD for a parent or grandparent who would be able to brave the strong taste of CBD products!
